“Balletango” es un espectáculo creado y encabezado por el bailarín del Teatro Colón Matías Santos, con el fin de unir dos grandes géneros que le apasionan, como son el ballet y el tango. El mismo está compuesto por bailarines integrantes del Ballet Estable del Primer Coliseo de Buenos Aires, siendo la mayoría perteneciente a la nueva generación de artistas del teatro. Además, también forman parte del espectáculo tres músicos de extraordinaria calidad y reconocimiento artístico, que poseen gran trayectoria en el ambiente del tango y que son ovacionados en cualquier lugar que se presentan.
Es una obra original, con la intervención de músicos en vivo; y en la que los bailarines interpretan desde el tango clásico en dúo, hasta una fusión del mismo con el ballet en números grupales, dándole una cuota de originalidad y dramatismo, con la que el público se ve indefectiblemente identificado; y, para que esto, se ha elegido un repertorio de los más famosos tangos de todos los tiempos, para lograr que su música sea fácilmente reconocida por la gente y se vea, así, conectada con algún momento de su propia vida.
Balletango, fue concebido como un espectáculo integral y puede ser fácilmente adaptable a las necesidades de la audiencia y de quien desee contratarlo, para lo que se pueden hacer adaptaciones del mismo sin perder la esencia de la obra ni el sentido de su nombre.
“Balletango” is a show created and led by Matías Santos, a dancer with the Teatro Colón, with the aim of uniting two great genres he is passionate about: ballet and tango. The show features dancers from the Teatro Colón's resident ballet company, most of whom belong to the theater's new generation of artists. In addition, three musicians of extraordinary talent and artistic acclaim, with extensive experience in the tango world and who receive standing ovations wherever they perform, are also part of the show.
It is an original work, featuring live musicians, in which the dancers perform everything from classic tango duets to a fusion of tango with ballet in group numbers, giving it a touch of originality and drama with which the audience inevitably connects. And to achieve this, a repertoire of the most famous tangos of all time has been chosen, so that the music is easily recognizable and connects with a moment in people's own lives.
Balletango was conceived as a complete show and can be easily adapted to the needs of the audience and those who wish to book it. Adaptations can be made without losing the essence of the work or the meaning of its name.
